Won't turn on (

I charged it for a few hours to double check and see if it was the battery...no luck.

I held Play+Menu for some time to see if that could do anything...

Flipped the hold button a few times...

any ideas what I should do? I'm gonna see if the genius bar @ the apple store will help me out.

I gues nobody told you.

Gratis is giving away "trial" iPods. They only work for a few days and then you have to pay $300 to continue using them.

You can always call apple and use that <sarcasm>wonderful</sarcasm> warranty.

Anyone bought apple care on their ipod?

I have had a similar problem with my iPod, and I've noticed it seems to happen more when the Hold switch has been on for awhile...I had to hold down just the Play button for a decent amount of time, then the Apple logo showed up and after 30 seconds or so it was back into the normal menu.

would you be able to tell if the iPod that you go was a refurbed or brand new?

is there a possiblity that apple/gratis is sending refurbed iPods?

just curious
