They do look legit but know one will know until the first people start getting the free stuff...just like it was with gratis. LOL these sites look MORE legit than gratis; do.

The economics behind these types of deals is in favor of the companies doing them. They make good money with these so that is why we are seeing a few take advantage of this "good free stuff" rush. The only thing that we have to worry about is that the advertisers don't get enough people to become paying members from all these leads and they decide to not take part in sites like this. Or maybe they will all start cracking down and make sure to not give credit for those that cancel too quick. These new sites have many of the same offers as gratis does plus a few. They also have a cool "feature" where you can do one extra offer yourself and refer 2 more people (on top your doing one offer yourself and referring whatever number is required for the main item) and get an accessory along with your order. Like with the MP3 player site, you can get an ipod then also get an itrip along with it.

These offers are free (or at least most of them are) so it's worth it to try out in case it is legit...if not then all I waste is my time P.

If you sign up, use one of the congas that way at least you can get your link some exposure too...check the gearlive or theshoutout forums and get on one of those. Better than just signing up on your own, at least you get some help that way.

Did you guys notice that the 80-hour ReplayTV uses the "click wheel" found on the iPod Mini! Wow, my 40-hour Replay doesn't have the click wheel...

I wish they included service for the DVRs because an 80-hour Tivo or ReplayTV isn't worth $300 - they should drop them to 40 hour units and increase the referrals needed to 8 - then they'd be able to offer DVRs with lifetime service.

the site does look very professional. they are also linked to the same advertising company that Giftfox.com uses. The site seems works exactly like freeipods.com.

i can tell that the site is making money off of the offers, however, we won't know if they will actually send some of that money back to it's users in the form of a gift (ipod, dvrs, or pvps).

we'll just have to wait and see. I signed up on this site and also completed an offer. PM if you are interested.

Gratis had similar wording in their TOS in the beginning. I would assume it was to protect themselves from just losing a ton of money, since you never know how many people are actually going to sign up and be part of the website. Now that the pyramid has gotten bigger, Gratis no longer needs to protect themselves and have taken that wording out. They TOS still says "We also reserve the right to change the methods through which free items are earned." That basically gives them the right to do whatever they want as well. Just my thoughts...

Guys, this site is legit. It's good to be a little skeptical but they look a lot more organized than gratis did at first. How many thought the gratis sites were a scam before they saw people getting stuff? Lol I bet there are even members on the forums here that are still unsure about gratis.

Everything I have seen or heard of OfferCentric (the people behind the 4free sites) has been good and I personally feel they are completely legit. The fact that they actually have funds and are not waiting on their affiliate checks before making orders is a big plus in my mind.

Of course if I don't get my free iRiver then I might change my mind heheh. I will keep you guys posted on this as my account gets updated.

PS the conga I am/was on is very nice and new with very short lines ;)

Now that Gratis is confirmed legit. Some posers create a site and do they same thing except never send out products and disappear into the night. You can't take the legitimacy of one site and use that as a measuring tool for another. That kind of thinking is what scammers want you to do. I'm going to hold off until I catch this company on Screen Savers or wired news.

I gotta think with those offers that the site is real. Most people sit on an idea until it blows up than everyone rushes in to make money. Mostly because investors will not give you the funding you need until it's proven in the marketplace. Since free ipods was such a hit a bet a lot of companies will jump in trying to make money.

I did it earlier today and it worked fine. What browser do you use? Someone using IE6 reported having the same problem. I use Firefox.

I also did the eFax one on tuesday and received credit for it today.

I'm on a conga where two people have already got their five completed referrals, so they should be able to place their order pretty soon and it should get a little clearer whether or not this deal is legit. I signed up for a conga at gearlive on sunday and have moved up 8 spots since signing up. I know it seems like a lot on the list, but the site seems to have a lot of traffic. I'm not sure if a smaller list with less traffic or a larger list with more traffic is the ideal situation. yeah the mp3 players have been really popular (both here and graits' sites). But can't believe more people don't want those kick arse PVP's. The Tivo players are also very cool but those congas seem to go pretty slow compared to the mp3 players.

Even though the congas I am on are moving fast and don't have a long line, the tivo and pvp ones seem to be a bit slower. But with the MP3 one, I got my referrals and was able to order a couple days later and already shipped lol. Might take a while for the others though.

okay. If you guys got that starting a conga line, I must say we have very different understandings of how a conga line should work. Since saturday, we've had only 18 referrals, among which only 11 are coming from the conga line for sure. That's far less than what you've got [b79a00d7a38]but[/b79a00d7a38] as I write the 3rd and 4th people in line are now getting the new referrals already. If your conga doesn't get to move early on, you'll sure get all the referrals you need to get your mp3 player, but the conga will die off quickly, and the people in line after you won't see anything coming. Thats the sad thing about a lot of the cheesy conga sites....they ARE there only to get the owner of the site his referrals then they take off leaving anyone that signed up under him stranded. That just sucks and hopefully some kid comes along and steals their ipod while giving them a black eye lol.

If you are on, or start a conga, there is no reason you should have that many signups. that is just a complete waste and very selfish. If you got those on your own by asking friends and posting places then that is another story.

That is why I started my own congas. I was tired of seeing those rip off sites trying to scam people into signing up for them saying they will get on the conga. Mine is long term and I even have two domains that will work together to help keep the congas moving and give the referral links some good exposure. I have already shipped for my mp3 player from Offer Centric and instead of leeching all the referrals I posted up the next persons link right away...and I am trying now even hard to get the people on the congas exposure that I did when it was only mine lol.

I have seen some other good sites with congas out there and most are fair, but be sure to check out the congas before just joining one. Although the congas at the big sites are great if you get in early, they are not good at all if there are already hundreds of people on them...in that case you would be better off with smaller congas that still have people moving them. Those sites where there are only the owners links posted and no one under them at all...sketchy in my opinion.

Well I run 3 major websites and have an AIM list of over 200 buddies, so I got most of them on my own by posting links on my sites and AIMING people letting them know. For the past two days I've been fieliding questions left and right from people I've IMEd wanting to know more.

seriously, maybe I'm just completely naive, but I'm now wondering if there wouldn't be a way to coordinate these various lines and redirect new people who are interested in joining to whatever line is the shortest so that we can keep them all run fast. Sure, I can see the way this could go wrong, cause there [b7fcfb0393c]will[/b7fcfb0393c] be people trying to put fake/unfair congas in, but I think this could work with a small number of congas (3, 4?) administered by reliable people. I think the best way to make sure of this is to check how these congas have been run so far.

If you think this is a not-so-stupid idea and you feel you're running the kind of conga I'm talking about, please PM me a link to it so that I can see for myself. Then maybe we can get to talk about how we could achieve some sort of coordination and have as many people as possible benefiting from these congas.

That's the way to network! I personally run 1 website, and know lots of people who run other various websites. I've started a forum with conga lines that will be going live this week and will be promoted heavily on these sites as well as others. Many people, including myself had a lot of success with my last conga line for Gratis' sites.

I am also doing this to relieve some of the congestion on this site. My new site is called 4FreeOffersGuide.com and will be going live as soon as the DNS updates. It is dedicated to the Offercentric sites also known as the "4Free" sites. This will become the new place to discuss all things related to the Offercentric (4Free) sites.

The site is currently hosted on my other business server and is up and running for a few select users to test. Please contact me if you have a good reputation around here, and are interested in possibly Modding for me. Thank you for your support.

There is probably about 6 users right now. Only 5 ppl on the MP3 conga line, 3 on the other 2 lines. That's including myself, and I am just about done with MP3s and PVPs.

There will be a VERY short line when the site goes public. Probably between 7 - 10 people. When I finally closed up my Gratis conga lines I had finished over 40 people. The only reason that I closed it was that I began to see people trying to cheat. That can really screw things up when you have accounts getting put on hold so It was time to end it. The Gratis sites are too big for congas now.

But aside form the conga lines, this is going to be the new Offercentric community. There is so many posts about the "4free" offers in here that the people that are just beginning Gratis can't get the help they need anymore from here. We're all too busy bragging about our products and discussing other possibilities to help the newbies.

I don't think that there's anything wrong with that so I've created another outlet. This way the people working on Gratis' sites can get the help they need from here, and the Offercentric people can get the help they need from the new site.

All right fine, if everyone is pimping their Congas, why not me too?

As you can see from my sig, I'm one of the earliest ones here (ordered and received my Ipod in JULY). Myself and another person from FatWallet started the second Conga on the internet, we've done very well for our members and have been appropriately reluctant to jump into the scam offers/deal sites that have been pervasive.

Since the OfferCentric sites have been successful and have a seemingly proven track record, we've started Congas for the OfferCentric sites as well.

okay. If you guys got that starting a conga line, I must say we have very different understandings of how a conga line should work. Since saturday, we've had only 18 referrals, among which only 11 are coming from the conga line for sure. a conga line is basically a list meant to help you get referrals you join an offer using the referral link of someone who's on top of the list and your referral link is placed at the end of the same list. When the person on top has had five people signing up with his link he's taken off the list and everyone moves up one spot.

Well I've gotten only about 6 refs from the Conga Line, the other portion of the 22 I got from my websites, and word-of-mouth through AIM. Hopefully by this time tommorow I will be ordering my free PVP. Can't wait.

This thread got way out of hand and I feel bad for taking part in it now. I personally tried hinting for people to pm me if they wanted the url to a good conga site and it has now broken down to people actaully posting links to their congas which is against the rules here. Sorry bos (.

Any chance all the people with congas could just get their own forum here to spam in instead of try to sneak in hints or sneak in urls and such? That "might" cut down on the spam...not to mention help the google ranking with all the sites linking to here heheh.

Guys, don't post your urls. If you have a conga or even just an info site, just tell people and ask them to pm you...though now that I think about it, that is probably frowned upon as well.

I know there are a couple others out there but if you want another conga just pm me. Me and the other guy are very dedicated to it and right now there is only 1-3 people in each line. This includes all gratis sites and offercentric sites. It's not cheesy at all so if you want to get into a good site then just pm me. Once you take a look at it you'll be able to tell we're serious.
