It's really weird how there seems to be almost no pattern as to who's getting shipped. It's almost as if they're randomly picking numbers out of a hat.
What do you guys think about this? I know I feel bad for the 8/12 people who've been patiently waiting 2 months, while they watch late Septermber's get shipped.

yea it gets really fucking annoying, when we have been waiting longer and gratis is just doing fucking random shipments. They have shipped ppl that ordered A MONTH after me and they got theirs shipped.

There has to be some kind of logic behind this. Maybe its based on location? last name? what zone your in? I work at a shipping place and there are a ton of factors that could play a role in deciding who ships first. But obviously, its not by order number.

I guess it's random is because they are doing the orders w/ serveral vendors so the oders will be send out faster than just one vendor, and would be in a different order. And to avoid send two ipods to one address, they can't send one order to multiple vendors, so if your oders was send to a vendor who has a greater quantities in stock, the most likely you would be shipped faster, if your oder was send to a vendor such as ecost, you are most likely to waite forever to get your ipod, b/c they don't have any left or they have some trouble w/ gratis.

I've never heard anything about multiple vendors. I just thought they had one apple vendor in china. Has anyone else heard anything about multiple vendors?

They probably cancelled all of their orders through ecost. Nobody is getting them through there. Apple probably agreed to ship all backorders within a two week period so Gratis probably went with it.

Gratis most likely just sent all the backorders to Apple in a stack. Why would our order have our original STV date on it? Apple doesn't care about that. They're just making, packing, and shipping them as fast as they can. So you may get your iPod 2 days later than someone who ordered a month after you. Deal with it.

right, I mean probably both ecost and apple, and may be they are doing it by servals threads too.
