I just realized a may have made a mistake. I signed up to have my free iPod shipped to my address at school. I did this because my sister has already used our home address for her own account, so I couldn't use it. So my school address looks something like this
(my name)
9500 Gilman Dr. ######
La Jolla, CA 92092
The ###### is my mailbox number at school. It is NOT a P.O. box, because UPS, FedEx, and US Mail can all ship packages to me here. The stuff is just shipped to the school, and the school has mail workers who distribute the mail and packages across campus to everyone's mailboxes. Now...I attend a large university, and I am SURE that people at my school have signed up for this website before. Are they going to say that it is a double-order from the same address and put my account on hold? That would be stupid! I don't live in the same house as any of the other people who may have ordered, I am not cheating! But somehow I just have a really baaaaaad feeling about this...
Has anyone else used a college address to receive any of their free products? Any help or advice? Thanks!

Hrm... As long as it matches your billing address I wouldn't see why not.

As long as that "######" isn't the same as a previously-shipped iPod to the university, you shouldn't have a problem. Even if you do, just explain the situation to them and you should be just fine.

Yeah you should be fine. They do the same thing at my school too. I'm sure that Gratis anticipated that the majority of the people signing up would be college students.
No worries. o
i thought you were talking about a highschool
Sorry if I'm not as optimistic but I was in the exact same case you're and when I entered an on-campus address for shipment freeipods.com did an instant and automatic check with a USPS reference database that said that the address didn't exist. Note that I have received FedEx and UPS in the past at that address. Note too that this is also a very big university. However, note too that the address was really on campus, I mean it was an office in a teaching facility. Things might have been different for a student residence.
Anyway, the good news is that if the address you provide is rejected, you can change both the name and the address where the ipod ships, so if you can't have it sent to your parents, you can always have it sent to a very good friend who's not going to complete the deal.

i go to ucsd too. two of my referrals put
9500 Gilman Drive
instead of their box number. is that ok or do i need to do something about it? like e-mail gratis and tell them to take the referrals off, or get the two people to change their address?
thanks.
