New Cameras..

With the new selection on freedigitalcameras, which one is now ranked the best and has te most value? Anyone know??

I think the new Sony is valued quite high...it's either $499 or $599 at Best Buy...can't remember which

The new Sony is indeed valued at $499 (or less) from BesBuy. However, on eBay it goes for around $400 BIN, which is definitely less than the $460+ BIN price for the M1

I got the M1 and I love it. I would highly recommend it.

see theyre all nice cameras, with good capabilities but the memory cards they use are shit (memory stick duo, secure digital)....all except the canon powershot S500 (compact flash).

if you wanna get a digital camera look for cams with compact flash slots.

theyre cheaper, more widely available and just a fast as any other cards if not faster.

i wouldve thought they (gratis) wouldve had more a selection but obviously not.

I'd go for the Nikon.

Yes, if you are going to keep it - go with CF cameras. But if you are selling it on eBay, I believe the M1 is the most expensive one. I am getting that one, selling it, and investing in a Digital Rebel )

How many refs do you need for freedigitalCAmeras? For some reason they changed the sites on the gratis sites and no longer show the number of refs.

If you are doing the site and planning on keeping the camera for personal use I don't think it is that bad. You do get a ~$500 camera, which should be great unless you are looking to be a professional photographer. 10 referrals on the Gratis site sure beats the 8 on the OC site now....
