I'm curious if that rumor about shipping in the next 2 weeks has any chance on taking place.
They seem to be in bursts, and we seem to be about 8/16 or so... it's now 10/12.

yea almost everyone has to get theirs by christmas, cuz they will be making like 5 times more ipods by the time christmas comes, im hoping to get mine by the time eminem's album comes out, which is on nov. 16th, over a month

/me doesn't think it's about iPod supplies... Gratis is apparantly ordering in bursts. Depends when they decide to place your order, and how many they do per burst.
Apple's shipping 20GB's right now with no issues. So it's not a backorder issue.
The only backorders right now are mini's. And that's because of part shortages.
20GB's are doing fine in production. Supply is more than adequate.
