Just wait it out )

I'm still pleased about choosing the CP. It's the one to get if you want to keep the PC.

I got mine on Monday and couldn't be more happy. Everything started up perfectly and I even got a free logitech keyboard and a crappy roll mouse. It seems like the 2 people who received crappy boxes were very unlucky. Overall, a very nice (and pretty) PC.

im probably getting the Dell, anyone that got it have any problems with it or any reviews of performance, i am only choosing it b/c it comes with a monitor

breslijo

27-05-2005 07:12:15

screw the monitor.. just go to your neighborhood DPW and ask them for a 17" CRT monitor. People usually have to pay money to dispose of them!

Go on Craigslist.. I'm sure people will give you a 17" Crt monitor in fine working condition.

Get the Cyberpower

Agreed, that is, if you can afford it right now. ;)

Aspire cases come with Turbolink (Deer) PSUs which are underrated on voltage, but are more than fine for the PC as-is. The main reason to upgrade would be by adding a more powerful video card.

Overall, even considering that, the CP is still the better choice.

I would have to agree with that, but also dont forget to make sure the connectors will fit, i advised the same thing to wood and when he got his new standard atx power supply it wouldnt connect, i guess he needed some adapter.

Also take this into consideration, a bad power supply can let in the incorrect voltages in which could fry every componet in your computer. Are you willing to take that risk just to save ~70$? Personally i wouldnt. And im not kidding either, there are a lot of storys in regards to what i just described.

Which PSU would you reccomend and why? Also, why is there a need for a new PSU? Whats wrong/bad with the one it comes stock with?

Thanks )

do you live anywhere near a major city? you can try that craigslist and see if anyone in your area is giving one away. In the Boston area, free 17" monitors are available frequently.

DARN!! I think I missed the STV date by ONE Day!!! I was approved on the 30th, but I do not think I was STV yesterday. Ah crap

ligoes to kick his old computer but stubs his toe on the desk instead.

REALLY GOOD power supplies for the money are PC Power and Cooling[=http//www.pcpowercooling.com/home/]PC Power and Cooling

Try to stay away from the "bargains" you might find at fry's, I have been through about 4 in less than a year. Pay attention to the Heat to watt output. Computers (especially higher end components) get HOT. You want a power supply that will remain as constant as possible so it does not damage your system.
