This is seriously getting out of hand.

I understand you guys might be upset or anxious about whatever problem/situation you have run in too, but this isn't the right medium to resolve it.

We have PM's for a reason....
PM = PRIVATE message
You getting put on hold is not any concern of 99% of the members on this board....meaning it's a PRIVATE problem.


This section of the forum is getting flooded with personal "Jake - ...." topics.
It needs to end now.

PM Jake your problem, and he will get back to you when he gets a minute.

If you have a general question that applies to everyone then please feel free to make a thread addressing Jake.


Any more "Jake - ....." threads that deal with a USER-SPECIFIC problem will result in a single warning then a duration-ban.

Still, I seriously hope people start using better judgement on when to PM him, because right now it doesn't look good by the the looks of some of the topics getting posted. He's helping us out so let's not take advantage of him.

I would like an example of what would be appropriate to ask jake. I think its helpful making it user specific b/c if a person has the same exact problem, they can refer to the posts. I love that Jake is here, it's very comforting, but I think that asking him questions is his job. Besides, others in addition to Jake can answer your questions that have had the similar problems can answer your questions with personal anecdotes, so thats very helpful. And referring to posts is much easier than PM's since you can see all the replies at once.

I received an email today from a gratis rep named Jake about my freehandbags order. (it had been "shipped" for quite some time now and apparently now they are having vendor issues)

I PMed Jake asking if it was him and asking him some questions about my options. Hopefully that's appropriate ..

Someone by the name of "JakeGratis" just imed me on aim, and I gave him my ipods password because he asked and then he stole my account.

Since my job includes sometimes handling customer service for a website that has users with password, I know this from experience they do NOT need your password to access your account. Ever. They either have a back-end system that looks nothing like what you see on the front or they have an admin override password.
