So after the many problems with "preorders" for the psp I was wondering if there will be a better option for the xbox 360. Perhaps once the official price is released gratis could consider working something out with EB games (even online) or something to place the preorder paid in full. That way there would not be the same problems with not only ordering and backorder, but also a long shipping delay. Has Gratis considered anything like this yet? What is the plan as of now?

Thanks!

I was wondering the same, hopefully they don't come months after release.

that is a totally awesome idea, but I think we'll be getting it months later, like the PSP.

Might I also ask about the price. If the 8 referral count is high, which I imagine it would be, as 8 refs pretty much equals $400, would you ship us a bundle? I'm still deciding whether to come out of "retirement" for this one. There's supposed to be 2 models, a $360 "deluxe" model and a $299 standard version. Would you consider sending each of us like the "Deluxe" model and a controller, or the "deluxe" model and a $50 gift card? Thanks...

Sounds good, and I'm sure Gratis has already put some time and effort into discussing this.

I can (almost) guarantee that this will NOT happen. Gratis has been very good with issues like this in the past (recall the FreePhotoiPods.com issue). I can't say what they will or won't do, but I would assume lowering referral requirements belongs on the "won't do" list.

What was the freephotoipods issue FreeOffers?

They were offering the 40GB iPod photo after the 60GB came out (the 40GB was cheaper, but came with accessories). They upgraded it to eh 60 due to customer demand. But still FON, it doesn't mean they'll give us that $50 gift card....It's not like them to make their own bundle, it's messy for packaging. I'm sure they'll only buy what they can from eFulfillment, unless eFulfillment makes a bundle for them.

Oh okay. Maybe they couldn't include a game or something?

I was kind of leaning toward the "no-action" option, as I agree that a "custom" bundle might not be feasible. Who knows though, really? Personally I could care less if it "costs" me 8 referrals for a $300 system - its better than costing me $300!! That said, where did you get your figures from (the $299 base vs $360 deluxe)?

They ESTIMATE costs at 299 / 360

the big dissapointment for me was seeing game costs.........

Xbox360 Games are MSRP 60$ now (ebgames preorder), not 49.99 as 99% of games nowadays.
