Same IP is a red flag. Having 3 of your referrals using the same IP address to sign up normally means they are using the same computer.

If that's not the case, then be prepared to show some other differences like password, email address and credit cards being different.

what if the people you refer are at the same college computer lab, but on different PCs?

Nearly any college computer lab will have seperate ips for each of the computers because most own enough ips to do that. Either way, running on the same IP is not definitely on hold, or that you won't be able to get off hold.

Then if you get on hold, then you can post a message in Account Issues and explain the details of each person who signed up.

Unique email accounts, passwords and street addresses help.

you will be put on hold

BUT You can do something about it

Email them and ask them to put those 3 accounts on hold, let them know ahead

I had the same problem but emailed them before i finished all 5

campus computer labs are all tied to a router or a switch of some kind. in any case, the IPs will be REALLY similar, similar enough to know that the sign ups were from the same network.

i wouldn't recommend signing up multiple times at a campus computer lab.

has anyone had any luck with proxies and signing up with a proxy set up. I made the mistake of logging into my account from a friends computer, and then decided to tell the friend to sign up....then i realized that the account would be put on hold because I had signed in using that IP address.

So i thought i would use a proxy and sign up again.... I'm still looking into it.

Also, has anyone had any problems with AOL blocking the email sent by gratis?
