[b0d507616e7][/color0d507616e7]Hey guys,

I was wondering what you guys felt was the best offer available at www.freeipods.com

I recently signed up on the site and selected Blockbuster. I figured a 2 week free trial shouldn't be that bad. I actually ordered a few DVDs too. But anyway, that isn't the point. The site said I should get credit in 1-3 days. It has been 3 days and no sign of the credit.

I got a confirmation e-mail but the credit hasn't appeared. You guys know whats up? What offers do you recommend? Have any of you chosen Blockbuster recently? How long did it take to get your credit?[/b0d507616e7]

Infone is good. Instant credit. No cancelation. No fees. Very easy.

it probably means business days

meaning monday-friday

Blockbuster used to be instant credit, but it's now changed to 3 business days. Gratis rule is if you don't get credit in the first 14 days, then on day 15, you can contact Gratis to see why you didn't get credit.

It should show up in about 4-5 business days, which is what I've seen lately from some posters.

personally, i'd go for the boca java thing since its instant credit and theres nothing to forget to cancel later.

I chose ancestry.com only because I am interested in my ancestors. I only know my immediate family and am very curious into why my family hasn't created a massive revolt against the popular families because we are not the most wealthy of peoples. I am one of the exceptions; graduating from MIT was not easy. I just want to find a way for everyone to get an iPod.

Good Luck, everyone!

That's good to know. I thought about doing that offer, but instead wanted to try the Blockbuster deal.

I have a question, For the New York Times deal. They say cancel and only pay for the papers you received. But say you cancel before you get any papers, do you still have to pay some something in some sort? I'm thinking about having my friends do it, but I'm trying to get those risk-free deals.

Ace

go with video professor, once you return the product, they refund your shipping, so you don't have to pay a cent

wow.... learned even something more. Good someone read the TOS for boca java. It sounds like it works just like my JavaCity coffee orders. From that, I at least get Delta Skymiles each time coffee gets ordered. But it's subscription based that can be suspended.

Infone and eBay continue to be the best offers requiring the least amount of commitments. Blockbuster was good and easy to deal with and I may actually stick with them as it turned out to be good. Ancestory was one I would have kept, but their interface and the lack of information that was returned kept me from keeping it.

eFax, which hasn't been around for a little while, has caused me some problems. It uses it's own program to view faxes (what! not using PDF?? shame on them) which I had to install on a separate computer just to get to work.

Haven't heard much about the weight loss and other pill offers, but since they are offers I don't plan on using, doesn't apply to me.

I used this web page to find details about some of the offers. Some are not offered anymore, but it's still a good resource for the offers.

chillywilly

10-10-2004 14:53:44

Thanks for the Video Professor details, Ace.

I may have to do 2 more offers, since my FHB I did eFax and have to wait till wed. before contacting Gratis to see about getting my credit. And if my Ancesorty.com is not counted on my FDP account, that's another offer.

And i've been legit on all of this. My FIP account went through with no holds and no problems.

For video professor dont wait for them to mail it to you. If you call the next day and cancel it they wont charge you anything and won't send you anything so you wont have to worry about shipping it back etc etc

be careful with canceling video professor too soon, it now says you won't get credit until after you receive your videos (about 1 week). Anyone try the book offer? Just wondering how hard it is to cancel that one.

because the entire point is to sign up for offers you are actually going to use (and NOT cancel, did anyone read the latest info from the gratis guy who goes in the irc channel?), i'd recommend

infone - 5 FREE calls (i've used it twice now, and it definitely comes in handy) and even after your free calls the cost is reasonable for the service they provide. plus if you do choose to never use it, you don't have to cancel.

boca java - if you drink coffee, this is good coffee. your first order is 4 huge bags plus a portable coffee cup for $16. not bad. you can make your autoships anything from once a month to once every 12 weeks - which is what i'm changing mine to, because i don't drink coffee enough to buy this once a month but like it enough to do it every 3 months. plus my 4 bags from the initial shipment are going to last me forever. it's also instant credit.

i'm going to use either nyt or blockbuster for my desktop offer, because both are something i would use.

boco java costs u more than $16, it will cost you atleast $46, read teh fucking terms of agreement

Yeah, I had a friend of mine also complete the video professor deal and she is still pending, and does anyone know exactly how long it takes for the cd's to come in, because people have been saying it's a week, is that true?

Can someone point me to the TOS for Boca Java and/or how I can avoid paying more that $15.95? My friend signed up for this offer under the assumption that it was a one-time deal of $15.95, so I want to inform him that he has to take action to avoid being charged more.

Thanks, and thank God I visit these forums!

Terms have changed recently... here are the current Terms

[quote8773ea151b]how I can avoid paying more that $15.95?[/quote8773ea151b]
You can't. You/he agreed to the terms are are now bound to spend whatever the terms specified at the time (used to be $25, now $40).

[quote8773ea151b]My friend signed up for this offer under the assumption that it was a one-time deal of $15.95, so I want to inform him that he has to take action to avoid being charged more.[/quote8773ea151b]
He will be charged more, regardless. He signed up for the Connoisseur Club and will have to make at least 2 minimum orders. You can select to terminate your membership at any time for a charge of $40, which will be applied as store credit on any order thereafter.

Do you guys really offer up your CC w/o reading the terms?

IMHO Blockbuster's the best. Stop complaining about instant credit and actually take advantage of a good offer for ocne! Just cancel the thing on the last day and you'll be fine. Plus you get 3 (or 6 if you're fast) free movies to watch plus some coupons good in their stores.

I did mine back when it was instant credit but even at 3-5 business days you'll have credit before the offer threatens to run out (and thus get you charged)

zed2004

13-10-2004 12:48:45

i might check out the blockbuster deal as well. it's something i'll actually make use of. not some dumbass online coffee shit.

Lol, my roommate just got the coffee yesterday and said it's actually pretty good. I don't like coffee, but he's made a few batches of the vanilla bean or whatever.
