Adjusting ID3 tags for songs on iPod

Hi gang, just a quick question. I'm wondering if it's possible to make adjustments to ID3 tags for songs currently stored on your iPod, or if you need to made the changes in iTunes or WinAmp, and then reupload them to the iPod?

This would be very annoying if I wanted to recategorize songs by genra, or album title...and couldn't do so withing my iPod.

There is a program called Tag&Rename. I use it regularly. I love it. It can mass edit ID3 tags and all sorts of things I never dreamed of. Check it out.

EDIT Whoops. I read your post wrong. Im not sure if you can edit ID3 tags directly on your ipod, but even if you could, I'd still use Tag&Rename and reupload them.

iTunes can do just about anything with ID tags as well as mass edit.
