Can I sign up from multiple computers in my house, using my brother's computer? since both computers have different ips, I though maybe this would work.
Thanks.

I wouldn't try it, you have to have different (and real) shipping info and stuff.

And no one is going to answer that because its basically cheating

Are you looking to get more than one ipod? or give your self more referals? If you are, your account WILL be put on hold, no matter how sneaky you think you are. If you are not looking to cheat, and just want to sign your brother up, I wouldnt sign up using his computer, and definately don't use the same address as him.

it counts your network ip, not computer ip, so...that means they have the same ip )

ok, thanks. I have another question, I already signed up from one of the computers I have, but it didn't work right cause I was using firefox and I didn't enter where I lived. Then I made another one from a different computer on our network, will I still be eligible?

Actually, I just remembered, I had gotten a different router since I signed up for the first time... would that change anything? If they thought I was cheating would they still let me get all the way to 5 referrals before telling me?

i would venture to guess that so long as you're not out to attempt fraud, gratis won't think that you are. likewise, if you are, they will KNOW that you are, and take whatever measures they do to make sure you don't get anything.

a router will not give you a different ip address its the modem. and dont try and cheat.

no it wouldnt dude, your internet connection is from teh same company im guessing?

yeah, my ISP is still the same, and I'm not trying to cheat!

you're fucked. If your isp didn't give you more than one ip address, a router isn't gonna change things.

but go ahead and sign up for 2 people on 2 'different' comps on your network.....
then tell us how things go. D

It's hard to say, but there's a good chance one of your accounts will be at least double checked. Looks like you are already in processing for FIP... is this for another account?

The rule is
- different IP address
- different shipping address
- different email address (and possibly domain)
- different password

for each user. If any of your referrals have the same password, IP address and/or email domain address, then there's a good chance your account will be flagged. I can't speak for Gratis, but that seems to be the consensus.

if I went with my credit card and used it at my friends house instead of theirs (their parents are skeptical), would I get in trouble for that? I mean as long as they're getting advertised to I don't see how that would be "cheating".

OK, sorry to bring this topic back up, but I searched, and I couldn't find an aswer to my question. So, can I use my credit card for my friends' accounts?

no you cannot. You could go out and get webcertificates tho

All of that and you guys didn't think of 56k? They don't go by IPs. What if people are using Proxies or are have a dynamic IP. Also, what about people who are behind an ISP who put everyone on a proxy (Transparent or even Anonymous)?

cool for me my ISP changes my IP each time i connect to the internet, so I can get a whole load of friends signing up at my house...

i'll have a party Sign up at a Website and get a Free iPod Party!

lol... everyone will come to get a free ipod and i'll be like noope sign up here, and then you follow the rules and you'll get your iPod ;-)

okay that was really lame but w/e

give me -karma for that one, i deserve it
