Hello, my friends, at the FreeiPodGuide.
I am doing a case study in order to evaluate the features that would be most desired from you on my new iPod operating system.
What do you wish you could do on your iPod?
Are you unhappy with any of the features?
Have you run into many problems?
I am doing this as a study so that I may have the possibility of being published again on an operating system infrastructure. I promise that I will take into consideration some of the features that are mentioned here.
Good Luck everyone!

You do realize the display on the iPod right now is monocrome.
No matter what you do, it's on or off per pixel. That's all, no shading. It's not like a Palm Pilot that had that trick to shade (some like the IIIxe had a trick that you can shade... allowing some programs to make games that looked decent).
Not to mention it's low rez.
You'll never see a picture you can recognize on a current iPod.
The sheer math involved in translating any JPG, GIF, or PNG into a monocrome that you can actually see and interpret on a small screen would be worth patenting. Nobody has that type of percision so far. The closest is built into Adobe Photoshop, and even that is far from this quality.

um, I am not computer person, but HOW would you chat with people? I don't think that it could connect to a network (unless, maybe it was connected to the computer then that would be pointless because you can just chat on the comp then) so having an IM program on it would be futile!

Not to mention calling it the iPod OS would also be infringing on prior rights to a name.
