Any word on when the next group is going to be shipped or anthing at all?
I'm also curious as to what the earliest date that still hasn't got theirs yet

Yeah, I'm wondering about the Xboxes too. My friend has been waiting for his since the beginning of March. I wonder why Gratis can't find another supplier to send these out faster? I'm sure a lot of people with FreeGamingSystems are very upset with the long delay.

Wow, I got so pessimistic I haven't been checking to see if Gratis decided to answer my last message to them. But they did (on the 11th no less - 4 days and I hadn't checked)!!!

Here's what they said

We just recently hired a new staff member to help us take care of outstanding issues such as yours. He has been getting through all of the individual cases and we are finally making some progress in this department. We have actually been in touch with several suppliers of gaming systems and it appears that we may have a bunch that we can ship to our patient customers. It has been a bit of a process, but there is some hope right now. What I will do is to leave this issue open in the folder so that if any other staff member combs through it, they will see that your ticket has not been resolved. This will also increase the likelihood of your issue being resolved because it will always be visible to anyone looking through the folder. We thank you for your continued patience.

Its good to hear at least SOMETHING from them, even though its not really much in the way of explanations or closure. We're still left with "there is some hope right now" which is nice to hear but not entirely reassuring (I'd like to be the one saying that, not Gratis).

I've been approved since 2/7 - so nearly 3.5 months! I know that in the beginning for me there were folks from the end of January or at least before me (WillieTanner comes to mind) - but some, if not all, actually received their units 3 weeks ago or so. I know there's a couple in the 2/8 realm but I haven't heard from any one earlier than 2/7 who hasn't received their XBOX yet. Speak up if you are - it would be nice to know the earliest.

The crazy thing is that I've been waiting 3.5 months, but folks have been getting approved that entire time so there must be a rather substantial back-log of orders that need to be fulfilled... They're playing catchup and I don't know if there's much hope they'll ever catch up before there are no more XBOX's to be shipped. I could easily see them mailing out checks on this one since XBOX 360 was announced this week (although won't be coming till the beginning of Christmas holiday).

So, we have hope and haven't been totally forgotten, but that's about the extent of the comfort.

WOW, I was approved, STV and shipped in less than 8 days,

I have tracking number and everything - my item will be here this monday

Tell me that's not with an XBox Cartenroy.

Yeah, if that's an XBOX I am going to pull my hair out. It would be like the iPods all over again - folks like myself STV in mid-August waiting until end of October while some STV'd in early September and received theirs within a week or so...

Just to let all of you guys waiting for X-Boxes know

We have been in talks with several suppliers and we will be shipping the X-Boxes to our patient customers very soon.

We apologize for these delays that we have caused you guys. Its been a hard few months for us too, but rest assured, things are moving along. The people who have been waiting for their X-Boxes will be seeing them soon.

That's good to hear Jake (my name's Jake too!).

However, after 3.5 months of waiting, I'm trying to keep my expectations low. When it comes, I'll be ecstatic - but I'm not going to hold my breath on it...
