I've been whoring this forum the last couple weeks trying to figure out when my iPod might ship. I saw countless people who were supposed to be after me get theirs, and I cried tears of agony........ BUT today I went home (from college) and sitting on my door stop was a small package.
Guess what was inside? Yep, my Apple iPod (engraved, but I don't mind.... at all).

i wouldn't get your hopes up. I'm 9/17 and i hope to get mine by christmas as well. i'll consider myself extremely lucky if i get it before thanksgiving..some of the augustonians (ordered in august) ..like the 6's are only just getting theirs now..thats 2 months.

I think everyone will have them well before THanksgiving. The shipments are picking up and Gratis picked new vendors AND Apple is stepping up production.

Nice pictures! The fast that you guys come back and post images probably helped me get my five referrals. You guys help legitimize the Gratis system.
One question though ... and this may be a dumb one.
The 20GB iPods have a silver backing? I have picked them up and played with them at the Apple store and they were "white all over".
Is the silver backing added for the engraving of the website URL?

Yes they've got the silver backing. I thought that was true of most ipods, but maybe I'm an idiot!
