well i'm sorry i can't help you on that since i haven't received mine yet, but when did you ship, receive, switch and all that other stuff because that's really close to my date and i would like to get my ipod soon along with everyone else here.

i switched on 9/13 and got the ipod on my birthday 9/23. i started a thread saying i got shipped. alot of ppl got shipped that week (HP Ipod). as far as scratches they are kind of big but not noticeable

well you can always use brasso metal cleaner. i heard that works great.
there is also ice creme and icleaner, two different types of ipod scratch removal formulas. i havent tried ice creme but i have i cleaner and it works quite well. although it takes a lot of applications to get less than hairline scratches out (like 1 hour of applying and applying presusre while buffing), it does get them out. on the back it gets out old scratches but sometimes it can make a bunch of new ones.however these new scratches are not noticable since they are so fine and they dont look like damage scratches (ie, not a big straight line or anything).
so icleaner is nice on the front and screen, okay on the back. ive heard ice creme is about equal. check out the reviews on ipodlounge.com , go to gear guide, reviews and they comapre the two.
