I don't know how many of you are business people/students but I would just like to share with you this concept. Generally when a business is starting a project or selling something it is difficult to forecast early sales. In this case, Gratis failed to realize the popularity of their service and became backed up early on. As they take orders and have a chance to analyze their market, they will begin to do things more efficiently. For example, they have began shipping from alternative vendors to keep up with the demand. I think it would be safe to say that the people who have been waiting will begin seeing their iPods shortly and the people down the line will experience less and less of a wait until we eventually see a standard turn around time.
