gmail has nothing to do with it except for making a spam account for the spam mail freeipods gives you. Other than that, I get a lot of invites and I dont want them to expire. So I might as well give it to someone I don't know or havn't even seen before. lol

GMail is nifty. I installed GmailFS today on my Slackware box. It lets you mount your mailbox and use it like a filesystem.
It's horrible slow, but fully functional. Pretty neat. You can also get libgmail and use it to harness your Gmail account as an SMTP and a POP3 server. Real neat.

BTW, is there a limit for sending large attachments in Gmail?

No, GmailFS is software that lets you mount your GMail account and use it like a standard file system. Its a Unix/Linux only thing.

File attachments in GMail must be under 10MB. Which is pretty darn steep compared with other free email providers.

That's how I got 3/5 of my green referrals (~15 yellow ones). You'd be suprised how desperate some people are to obtain GMail.

Yeah gmail if pretty nice. At least for free. Don't think I would pay for it but really doubt they would ever start doing that since they will make a ton of cash from the internal ads (which I honestly have not even noticed yet lol).
