Can I tell you what hell I had getting my ipod shuffle to work on my computer...after 24 hours of hell I found out that I need microsoft service pack 2 installed (which I only had 1) and the installation cd wasn't formatting my ipod shuffle in the end I formatted it my self and it worked automatically (this was after a few reinstallations latter)...boy I sure learned a lot about my computer....kudoos to all those computer techs and anylsts out there

huh, I just plugged it in and it showed up on my itunes. I already had all the latest updates. So, I guess that might be why. I didn't have to format the little thing though.

Same as above, and iTunes was FAST for me though (even with 5000+ songs).

geez......i ended up using Real Player to save the songs from CD to the computer and then just drug the contents of the folders i saved, into the library in itunes.......on itunes i was getting speeds of about 9-11kbps and on Real Player i was getting upwards of 31kbps. plus it was also taking an age to play just one song in itunes.....dunno WTF is up with it.
