I think your company is slowly becoming a piece of shit. There is no reason for the long approval times / slow shipping. Approval of accounts isn't being done at all for FreePSPs.com. Please start satisfying your customers or you will end up having none.

Man, this whole forum has gotten so much angrier in the last few weeks. Don't get me wrong, it totally sucks that you guys all have to wait like months for the freakin psps to show, I'd be just as pissed, it just makes me laugh every time I see a new angrier post. Just keep in the back of your mind that you are in fact getting a $250 PSP for free, you're just being inconvenienced a bit by all the waiting.

I almost dropped $300 on an ipod before I stumbled upon the freebie phenomenon, and now I'm $850 worth of freebies richer and grateful to Gratis every day. Anyway, just wanted to throw in my 2 cents, I do hope Gratis speeds up and you all get psps asap, as I'll be doing this site next and I'll lose it if I have to wait this long. )

well, I'm only $600 ahead in freebies, because my X-Box is like, 2 months late, and its been 2 weeks now awaiting approval on my freePSP. SO damn long in fact, that I managed to get an EXTRA green. So now I have 6 greens on my freepsp.

I'm at like $4000 in freebies but still, if they make a promise that it will be approved in 5 business days / shipped before "any of our friends get one" then I think they should hold their promise. If any company dealt like this with you in person would you be pissed? Of course you would. Just because it's the internet does not mean it is OK for them to work at their own pace and throw out promises that they have made.

That is correct. I do know how the system works, and I know that Gratis has already been paid for all of our leads (assuming that every single person here did not defraud the system) and that there is no reason that accounts cannot be approved since other websites such as FreePhotoiPods.com / FreeGamingSystems.com / FreeiPods.com are being approved daily.

I used to say this too, but now I am realizing that in every aspect it may seem free but in reality it is not. We are simply another method of customer for a store (Gratis, in this case). I had to pay $18 for my offer completion (TheBigPayout) and I had to pay some of my referrals, so I don't like paying $100 to get a product (which has a MRSP of $250, yes, but is probably a lot cheaper since they purchase products via wholesale from eCost/PCMall.com) which will be shipped to me 3 months after I pay for it.

Gratis was estimated at being the 95th fastest rising company in the United States of America in the past year, 2004. They were also estimated as raking in $2 million+ in profits. I think they have enough money to send out orders of PSPs (which they have already been paid for via the affiliate programs).

I never once said that I was going to castrate Peter Martin or Rob Jewell because they aren't sending items out fast enough. Please direct me to where I have called Gratis a scam. I don't want anyone to airlift anything to my house. I just want my account to be approved and for Gratis to keep their word and stick to their "5 business day" approval.

Flatline, I agree with all your shit. Wood sticks to the basic 12 year old argument, WELL ITS FREE, which any right thinking person could explain to him why it is not the case.

It is "free" in the respect that we do not exchange cash with Gratis for our PSP. Gratis opts not to use this form of economic transaction. Instead, they opt for a token economy, where they accept a certain number of referral completions in exchange for your item. Once you have accumulated 5 or 6 of these completions, you then PURCHASE your psp using them.

It is similar to a Carnival, or even a Casino, where you trade your money for chips or tickets, and can then use those tickets to buy a ride on the roller coaster. If you pay 5 dollars for five tickets, and then exchange those tickets to the Carny for a ride on the roller coaster, even though you have not directly handed him cash, you have PAID him under the terms that the carnival has decided upon. Just because you haven't directly gave him cash, does not mean that he has the right to ignore the fuck out of you, make promises that he does not keep and in general provide shitty customer service. and if he did, you would have every right to complain about it, and nobody would say OH MY GOD ITS FREE)!! because it is not free, just like Gratis sites aren't free. They simply operate under different economic terms than a site like amazon.com So please, take your "free" justification for the dogshit service/broken promises somewhere else.

The only real justification anyone has to silence the bitching is to say that anyone who entered into one of these sites expecting the same kind of turnaround that an amazon.com would provide, or even anything relatively close to an amazon.com, is an idiot. just by looking at these forums, you should be aware that waits of a month or more are a standard part of the process, as is unresponsive CS, etc. If you are willing to enter into that sort of transaction with a company that has a proven slow and poor customer service record, than you should be expecting stuff like this.

Granted, the broken pre-order promise on the PSP is a new low for Gratis. but it shouldn't surprise anyone, and will likely make many more people think twice before doing another one of their sites. Personally, I will never do one again once the PSP comes.
