Ok I'm thinking about switching to an HPod to try and avoid the engraving. I'm not complaining about the engraving, I actually think It's kinda cool but I want to give the iPod as a gift to someone and don't want the engraving on there.
I am STV 9-14-04, if I switch to HPod will I get thrown to the back of the list for the HPod but still remain in my current place on the Apple waiting list?
Basically what is your opinion as to what I am better off doing to get my iPod as fast as possible?

...have you not been noticing all the threads about it? the new apple's from shanghai have "freeiPods.com" engraved on the back.
