In the terms I found this.

c) Negative feedback from one of our affiliates or offers being completed and immediately canceled.

As ground for an account being placed on hold. My question is how can I control this? I don't want to "walk through" the referral process with those I sign up, as I know this is not allowed. However, how can I control whether or not they cancel their offers quickly?

Well, at least they're being more specific as to what can get you in trouble.

You can't control what your referrals do. You can only advise them from afar.

which is why i did the AOL offer (45 days free) and canceled around the 30th day...so i could say i actually did "try" it, even though i signed onto AOL a total of one time during the process.

You should get a free iPod just on the basis of being able to cancel the AOL offer. Jeez, I had to cancel an AOL account once. I was on the phone for two hours....
