Actually, thats not true.
The shippid days one is filled with info of ones that are just STV. I believe the person who started this thread is just requesting that people post once it is actually Shipped.

cause that thread has not been posted to in 3 days and it has a lot of stv's and stuff...all I asked for was people that shipped and when they went stv not how long they have been without it being shipped...

Apple offers ipods with customized messages engraved on the back, if buyers so choose. No one is yet sure why people are theoretically being sent this item number...doubt Gratis is having them engraved, ya know?

No, I don't think they didn't ask. I think it was a means of advertisement for them, since they were sending a virtually free iPod.
