AS the topic says. The reason why I ask is because I stupidly forgot that a signature will be required at time of delivery. Needless to say, I will be at work during the time when it will be shipped. I contacted DHL about changing the address to where I work and they said that I have to have the shipper fax them the change of address. Has anyone had to do this before, or am I kind of screwed and am going to have to call in sick that day?

Ask if DHL can hold it for pickup at the local depot. Or just wait and see if they leave it anyway -- UPS and FedEx usually do even when it says signature required.

I've noticed that some people from yesterday's shipment are saying theirs was sent "Signature Required" but mine wasn't -- my DHL tracking page doesn't mention signature required anywhere...

You can only do that with UPS after they have a yellow notice put on your door once and take that yellow notice.

There are some weird provisions in UPS from putting a random address and then picking up the item.

I'm sure it's the same with FedEx and DHL.

Similar topic, but different Having the iPod delivered to a different address than what you used on signups. The answer is yes, I had mine delivered to my office, and it showed up here today w/o any problems. I asked gratis about this and their reply was that they will NOT ship to an address that has already had a product shipped to it from the same site (ie, fip or fpip's). So if you're sending to your girlfriend or something, just make sure her roomate hasn't gotten one yet.

it's funny.. I had my ipod shipped to my home (instead of to my college address) because they won't ship to PO Boxes, even though I technically have a "campus box" and there are people in the mailroom all day signing for packages and such. Nobody will be at my house during the day until 2pm when my younger sister gets home from school, so my mom is going to leave a note on the door tomorrow to have our neighbor sign for it (and leave it with her) if nobody is home at my house. Hopefully that works -- it has in the past.
